Marc Sutton Scheduled for Two Campus Visits in October 2019

With web accessibility lawsuits on the rise, and the limits of automated testing tools, it’s best practice to include users of assistive technologies in your digital accessibility reviews.

This month we are offering two great opportunities to connect with Marc Sutton, our blind screen reader consultant. Learn more about his experience using assistive technologies to access UCSF digital content.

The first is October 10th at Sharecase, a free one-day event at Mission Bay for UCSF faculty and staff that showcases the best of information technology at UCSF. I’ll be hosting the following session that morning focusing on Marc’s experience with email.

Digital Accessibility: A Blind User’s Experience with Email
Thursday, October 10, 10:00 - 10:40 am
Genentech Hall S204
Register to attend Sharecase. (Requires MyAccess login.)

October 15th is the second opportunity at our monthly Accessibility Office Hours. Marc joins us to evaluate UCSF web pages with a screen reader, and sometimes with his refreshable braille display to identify any barriers to your online content.
