You are invited to participate in the inaugural  "Does this PDF Bring Me Joy?" spring-cleaning event that will begin Monday, March 16.

Sponsored by the IT Web Standards Program, this event aims to make campus websites more accessible by purging inaccessible portable document format (PDF) files, which can be a barrier to individuals with disabilities. During the four-phase event, participants will look at alternative ways to address inaccessible PDFs, such as converting them to web forms or web pages.

To participate, complete the "Does this PDF Bring Me Joy?" event registration form. Registration deadline is Friday, March 6.

The first is October 10th at Sharecase, a free one-day event at Mission Bay for UCSF faculty and staff that showcases the best of information technology at UCSF. I’ll be hosting the following session that morning focusing on Marc’s experience with email.

October 15th is the second opportunity at our monthly Accessibility Office Hours. Marc joins us to evaluate UCSF web pages with a screen reader, and sometimes with his refreshable braille display to identify any barriers to your online content.
