San Francisco Drupal Users Group Meetup

AmyJune Hineline, from Kanopi Studios, will present her Accessible Media talk at this month’s local SF Drupal Users Group Meetup, not officially associated with UCSF. It is hosted monthly at the Mission Center Buildling. 

This is the same talk given last December as Lunch & Learn sessions at Parnassus and Mission Bay, in case you missed it the first time it came along.

The bulk of the Office Hours is for you to ask questions about onboarding users and sites to Siteimprove and using Siteimprove's accessibility module. Discuss approaches to dealing with flagged issues. Common topics include:

• Verifying your page count is accurate
• Prioritizing the accessibility issues 
• Exporting reports on PDFs and video for manual checking

Our guest is our Siteimprove Customer Success Rep Nick Dalman. He joins us the last hour of the session.

Free Lunch and Learn “Accessible Website Content” by Kanopi

Friday, February 28, 2020, noon-1pm

Join us for this Lunch & Learn where we’ll cover how to create content for your consumers that is accessible in every way. We’ll also cover:

• Familiar language
• Reading levels
• Personas
• Scan patterns
• Active vs passive voice
• And demo some tools to test content including the Flesh Kincaid App, Grammarly, and Siteimprove.

To promote a community of practice, the room is reserved for plenty of time afterwards to mix and mingle or ask me any digital accessibility or Siteimprove questions. Reserve your spot for the free lunch and learn.
