Often we're asked how to create a private site. Sometimes this is for a group intranet or some other private space on the web.

Here are the steps to set it up.

• Enable MyAccess Sign On
• Turn off Anonymous role permissions to the site at http://mysite.ucsf.edu/admin/people/permissions. (substitute your sites URL for mysite). 
  The following fields allow Anonymous access by default
  • View Comments
  • View files
  • Use the Comments text format
  • View published content
  • Access the PDF version
  • Access the printer-friendly page
  • Use search
  • Access the Send by email functionality
• Set up SmartLinks
