When adding a profile I recieve "LDAP entry does not allow release for [email protected]"

If you get the following message "LDAP entry does not allow release for [email protected]", then you need to have the customer update their Directory profile to allow the release of the Email address.

Have the person who's email address you are trying to add to your Sitebuilder website do the following:

  1. Goto directory.ucsf.edu
  2. Click on Edit My Record.
  3. Set the Record Visibility to Public
  4. Set the Email to Public
  5. Adjust other visibility settings as desired.
  6. Click Save Changes

After that is completed, you can try adding their profile again. 

NOTE: This technique will also fix the issue in regard to the error "LDAP entry release code missing for [email protected]"
